Wow. Okay so today was such a wonderful day.
To start off, I got to hang out with a few other skippers and park hop. We started at Epcot and pretty much just walked the world showcase. I also had a fiesta margarita in Mexico which was so good. I love the flower and garden festival, it is so cute. Not to mention that new Monster's University themed playground; so cute.
Then we headed back over to Magic Kingdom (the home park) and since it was too hot for us to stand and wait for the parade, we headed over to Thunder and did that instead. And with just a little bit of the ride left we had to get evac'd, so they have to get everyone off the ride. Thankfully we were in a tunnel so we didn't have to sit in the sun. So of course we ended up with re-adds and used those for Splash Mountain. And OF COURSE I get soaked on that ride. I don't know what it is, but somehow I always get drenched and no one else does. But I was proud of myself because I kept my eyes open, progress my friends.
After splash, we headed over to Be Our Guest and ended up getting reservations for the four of us for dinner!! It was so amazing. I've been there before for lunch so I already knew what to expect but the food was so perfect. We had a wonderful waitress and the food was so quick and it was really just perfect.
Not to mention we got to meet the Beast. It's a little upsetting you can't meet Belle there as well, but I understand she's busy over at Enchanted Tales.
After Be our Guest, we ended up going over to Hollywood Studios where we rode Tower of Terror (my second time going on, and I am still warming up to it) and Rock N Roller Coaster. Then we went to the 10 o clock fantasmic (because abbie hasn't seen it) and it was just great. I love that show, Mickey is literally the cutest.
And now I am back at my apartment..exhaaaaaauuuussstteeeedd.
sleeeeeep

Hakuna Matata
Work has been literally so tiring.
And unfortunately when you have no voice, it's a little hard to work at the Jungle Cruise, so yesterday I had to be sent home early and today I had to call out because I am 100% useless to them. So that sucks because now I missed out on at least 16 hours of work, and I am poor enough as it is.
I mean other than that it's been going well. Although I haven't even had time to go to the parks in what seems like FOREVER. Working at Magic Kingdom is so much different than working at Downtown Disney.
And I have the 40% of discount, but I haven't even been shopping lately. So I am thinking that I may head down to Downtown Disney tonight so I can do some shopping before I don't have the opportunity.
But I REALLY do love my job. Except for when I had to literally talk over people while I am spieling which absolutely sucks and that may possibly be the reason that I have no voice today. Some people are just literally so rude I want to punch them. Like I spend all day spieling for 10 minutes at a time and people just talk the whole time, and then the people who actually want to listen to me talk (which surprisingly there are people who want to).
Also I do want to go out and have fun while I am here too. I know 90% of this program is work, but sometimes you just have to go out and have a little stress-free fun. So I've been going out to parties/bars which has been nice, and an awesome way to bond with my roomies, whom I love so much.
Speaking of my roommates, they are literally so awesome. We were only supposed to get a 2 bedroom with 4 of us, but we ended up with a 3 bedroom so we didn't know who our other two roommates were. But they turned out being awesome and so I am really thankful for that. And we are staying at Vista Way, which is perfect because it's close to everything (I don't have a car) and I mean as old as it may be, its cheap. Honestly we spend close to no time here, it's really just for sleeping.
But overall I am enjoying the program, except for the fact that when I lose my voice I can't work, literally sucks.
But yea, hoping it will get better. So we'll see how this goes.
Have a Magical Day! :)

Welcome to the world famous Jungle Cruise!
So as you may know (from all of my tumblr posts) or may not know, the attraction I am working at is the world famous Jungle Cruise. I get to be a skipper. It's been a while since I've known this, but I honestly have been working so much lately no time to post anything. Well anyways, when I first found out this was my role, it had said Tiki Room. So I was very surprised when I found out that they put me at that attraction.
So yeah, I have been working really late so I have been too exhausted for this blog, but I will try to update more often.
I did have my first live boat last night. My trainer did say I would get 3 dead boats and then one live, but he decided to make me do a live boat right after my first dead boat. And to be honest I wanted to jump out of the boat (into probably snake infested waters). I guess it was one of those moments where you just need to rip the band-aide off.
It was one of the weirdest experiences, I was so afraid that I would get that boat where no one would laugh at all (or do my say oohs and say ahhs) and it would just be weird. It was weird anyways just because it was my first time, and I knew my timing would be off and yeah. I guess it can only get better from here, right? Well that's what I am hoping. And fillers are super hard, because I just want to get people off my boat so I have to try and remember those while not crashing into the boat behind me.
And also if anyone is planning on doing the Disney College Program, BRING A CAR. I brought one on my first program and it was wonderful, but this time I am forced to use the bus and you know what? It sucks. Especially because I work at the Magic Kingdom, so when I get off so do all the other hundreds of CP's and it basically like the Hunger Games when the bus comes. So moral of the story bring a car. It will save you a lot of time as well.
Well all in all, its been a good program so far. I'm exhausted though. I remember when I told my interviewer that I wanted Magic Kingdom, and you know what? I have never regretted that more than I do now. Thankfully I don't deal with extra magic hours that much, so I get out somewhat earlier than the other attractions.
Well yup, that's my life so far. Hopefully it will get better.
Have a magical day!

my oh my what a wonderful day...
So today I checked in for my Disney College Program. As a former cp, I can say it was way more organized than last time, and it was nice to be able to get sleep instead of waiting at midnight in line. Anyways, so check in took about an hour and a half, then we were allowed to move our stuff in and then we went to casting at one, which took FOREVER.
But I did find out that I will be working at Magic Kingdom Adventureland/Liberty Square attractions. I have no idea what that means, so I assume I will figure out all of that at my orientation on Sunday. What I am hoping for is Haunted Mansion, I would be 110% ok with that.
Anyways we had casting at 1 o' clock and that took forever, which I expected it would. But I think that people just need to be more prepared and they should maybe find more of an efficient way to do that, but all in all it was good.
I am at my apartment now, which we wanted a 2 bedroom but ended up with a 3 bedroom with two roommates we didn't know we'd have, but we will make the best of it.
I am really excited for traditions on Saturday because I am in the early class with one of my roommates which means that I will be out by 1 at the latest and then I can explore the parks!! I feel like it's been forever since I've been to the parks even though I just went to EPCOT a few days ago.
I am just so happy to be here, and I hope to have a wonderful second program!
Have a Magical Day!

Don't know if I'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone.
So I just got this email this morning which makes me 489324 times more excited. And I am leaving in 5 days!!
The sad part is that I haven't even packed yet...oop.
I feel like for clothes, last time I packed too much and I didn't even wear half of what I brought. And I have learned to bring pants, bad idea not to because surprisingly it gets cold in Florida haha.
I'm bringing my TV and a bunch of movies (Disney of course) and maybe a few others. We're staying at Vista this time so we're close to the learning center that provides movies anyways. I have a coffee maker because I am addicted and my laptop. But I don't think I need to really bring anything else down that I can't just get at Walmart.
I just am really nervous to where I am working this time. I sometimes wish that they would just put me back at Disney Quest just because I am more comfortable there because I already know what to do. But I also want a new experience and I want to know what it's like working the parks. I want the crazy. Probably the only person who would say that.
I mean I LOVE Magic Kingdom, but the hours there...don't even want to think about it. Animal Kingdom would also be good, I would love working Everest. Plus their hours are pretty good, they're open MAYBE til 9 at the latest. Hollywood studios I would love, I would want to work Voyage of the Little Mermaid OR Beauty and the Beast. I would hate Tower of Terror, I am literally terrified of that ride and I don't even want to go near it lol. And EPCOT, like Soarin' or or or Test Track would be fun
I JUST DON'T KNOW
ah man, I hope I get a cute costume though ;)
I also hope that I can pick up more random shifts, I did PAC already but I want to work at Fantasmic and hopefully stay seasonal so I can do the Halloween party. I am also going to be down there for Star Wars Weekend which I am excited about because I missed it last time.
I am honestly just as excited as I was the first time I went down there. I mean its Disney. Who WOULDN'T be excited. And not only Disney but there are other things that I want to be able to do. Like SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. Oh and can't forget Universal, I went last time and had so much fun!
Only I don't have a car this time and I can't drive *sigh* :(
But all in all I am super excited, and I can't wait to make some more wonderful memories!!

Picked the date!
So me and my roommate Cat (one of my roommates from last program!) are moving in January 8th, the first move-in day!
I am so excited, we get to be one of the first people there! And then we'll be leaving May 30th. I'm only going to extend if I get character performer or attendant. BUT I AM SO EXCITED.
I am totally going to make the best of this program. I will be taking the semester off, mainly so I can have days off to visit schools around the area to see if I would like to apply for them, considering the school I am going to now is just not working for me. I just feel uncomfortable there.
But guys, I'm going to Disney again.
Anyways, for living we want Vista. Mainly because its cheap. But the problem is like no one else does, it's been really hard trying to find roommates who actually want to live there.
So we're searching. But in my honest opinion. Yes Chatham was really nice, but I spent maybe like 10% of my program actually in my room so I don't really think it mattered. It was just convenient for housing events, like grocery bingo and graduation. Plus my classes were there. But yeah.
I'M SO EXCITED.

ACCEPTED
GUYS, I WAS ACCEPTED
Attractions for spring 2014 :)
I am so beyond happy, and now I feel like i'll be able to pay attention and school and not worry if I've been accepted or not.
So I got attractions once again, and yes I really did was character attendant, but this time I requested Magic Kingdom or any one of the 4 parks really so I'm hoping i'm placed somewhere there! Also I got spring so I also have a chance to change my role if I want to extend!
Just so happy. Me and my roommate Cat from last year both got spring attractions, so thats awesome for both of us really!
Also I may possibly be going to the Hartford, CT audition, so many (crossing my fingers) maybe I could be a character performer :)
one can dream right?
ahhhh
Have a MAGICAL day guys!
