Welcome to the world famous Jungle Cruise!

So as you may know (from all of my tumblr posts) or may not know, the attraction I am working at is the world famous Jungle Cruise. I get to be a skipper. It's been a while since I've known this, but I honestly have been working so much lately no time to post anything. Well anyways, when I first found out this was my role, it had said Tiki Room. So I was very surprised when I found out that they put me at that attraction.

So yeah, I have been working really late so I have been too exhausted for this blog, but I will try to update more often.

I did have my first live boat last night. My trainer did say I would get 3 dead boats and then one live, but he decided to make me do a live boat right after my first dead boat. And to be honest I wanted to jump out of the boat (into probably snake infested waters). I guess it was one of those moments where you just need to rip the band-aide off.

It was one of the weirdest experiences, I was so afraid that I would get that boat where no one would laugh at all (or do my say oohs and say ahhs) and it would just be weird. It was weird anyways just because it was my first time, and I knew my timing would be off and yeah. I guess it can only get better from here, right? Well that's what I am hoping. And fillers are super hard, because I just want to get people off my boat so I have to try and remember those while not crashing into the boat behind me.

And also if anyone is planning on doing the Disney College Program, BRING A CAR. I brought one on my first program and it was wonderful, but this time I am forced to use the bus and you know what? It sucks. Especially because I work at the Magic Kingdom, so when I get off so do all the other hundreds of CP's and it basically like the Hunger Games when the bus comes. So moral of the story bring a car. It will save you a lot of time as well.

Well all in all, its been a good program so far. I'm exhausted though. I remember when I told my interviewer that I wanted Magic Kingdom, and you know what? I have never regretted that more than I do now. Thankfully I don't deal with extra magic hours that much, so I get out somewhat earlier than the other attractions.

Well yup, that's my life so far. Hopefully it will get better.

Have a magical day!

my oh my what a wonderful day...

So today I checked in for my Disney College Program. As a former cp, I can say it was way more organized than last time, and it was nice to be able to get sleep instead of waiting at midnight in line. Anyways, so check in took about an hour and a half, then we were allowed to move our stuff in and then we went to casting at one, which took FOREVER.

But I did find out that I will be working at Magic Kingdom Adventureland/Liberty Square attractions. I have no idea what that means, so I assume I will figure out all of that at my orientation on Sunday. What I am hoping for is Haunted Mansion, I would be 110% ok with that.

Anyways we had casting at 1 o' clock and that took forever, which I expected it would. But I think that people just need to be more prepared and they should maybe find more of an efficient way to do that, but all in all it was good.

I am at my apartment now, which we wanted a 2 bedroom but ended up with a 3 bedroom with two roommates we didn't know we'd have, but we will make the best of it.

I am really excited for traditions on Saturday because I am in the early class with one of my roommates which means that I will be out by 1 at the latest and then I can explore the parks!! I feel like it's been forever since I've been to the parks even though I just went to EPCOT a few days ago.

I am just so happy to be here, and I hope to have a wonderful second program!

Have a Magical Day!
